- Secured funding from BTE legal expenses insurance by briefing Counsel and commissioning an opinion at the outset of the dispute, to support claim acceptance.
- Researched a knock-out ground for claim that was adopted and advanced by Counsel at trial, and recognised in the judgment as ‘potentially important’.
- Reviewed and approved all documents in the case, including: Pre-action correspondence, letter & particulars of claim, agreed summary, list of issues, mediation position statement, Part 36 offer, trial bundle, skeleton argument for trial, submissions in respect of costs.
- Inspected high volume of documents disclosed by defendant, drawing to Counsel’s attention the most significant ones. Contributed to witness statement preparation on behalf of Claimant.
